No. In the US the "kosher" part lives in the phone, not the plan. Our phones are carrier-unlocked, so you keep your existing Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile plan (or their prepaid brands) and simply move your SIM. Israeli-style "kosher lines" that restrict service at the network level aren't needed here — the filtering is sealed into the device before it ships.
Yes. Your number lives on your SIM card, so you move the SIM from your old phone into the kosher phone and calls and texts work immediately — no new plan and no store visit. If your current phone uses an eSIM, ask your carrier for a physical SIM first.
A dumb phone is any basic phone with limited features; its browser may simply be unused. A kosher phone goes further: the browser, app store and unfiltered media are removed or sealed at the system level so they cannot be restored, and it is configured to a community filter level. Every kosher phone is a dumb phone, but not every dumb phone is kosher.
A kosher phone is a normal cell phone with the internet removed, so it still connects to cell towers, still reaches 911, and its location can be located by the carrier like any phone. What it does not have is a browser, social apps or ad tracking. Families who want location sharing can ask about the approved-apps configurations, which include GPS-based Waze.

Generally yes — prepaid brands run on the Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile networks, and our phones are unlocked. Two exceptions worth checking: TracFone-family service is not recommended on the Qin F30, and some prepaid plans require the carrier to approve the phone's IMEI first. Send us your plan name and we'll confirm before you order.
No — every phone leaves our shop already configured and sealed to the filter level you chose, so there is nothing to install afterward. Some of the phones we sell are TAG-approved models; not every phone is. If your yeshiva, school or kehilla requires a specific TAG or Vaad seal, tell us the standard when you order and we'll match you to a phone that carries it.
No — none of the kosher phones we sell use eSIM; they all take a physical SIM card. If your current plan is eSIM-only, ask your carrier to move the line to a physical SIM (a quick swap at any store or by phone) and it goes straight into the kosher phone.
The two Wonder phones (Wonder Phone and Wonder Phone Pro) carry a one-year, no-questions-asked factory guarantee. Our other phones do not include a manufacturer warranty; if anything arrives damaged or defective, contact us right away and we'll make it right.
We ship within the US only, but the phones are carrier-unlocked, so many customers take them abroad with a local SIM or a travel plan — the kosher configuration travels with the phone. The TCL Flip 2, the Megalife phones and the Fusion F2 should work fine on Israeli networks; for other models, tell us where you're headed and we'll confirm before you order.
Most of our phones receive updates, and an update never changes your filter level — the browser and app store stay removed or sealed. If you're ever unsure after an update, call us and we'll check the phone with you.
